Workers are fighting and winning: this summer, workers at the Graduate Hotel New Haven won their union and a first contract with great raises, healthcare, and a pension. As prices skyrocket, the rich are getting richer while we suffer. They want us to be poor and have no say in our futures. We deserve a better world, and we know we have the power to win it.  

If you’re passionate about justice for service industry workers and want to learn the fundamentals of labor organizing, Local 217 is hiring for our organizing internship. 

Start date is flexible (though sooner is better), and experience is neither required nor preferred

The internship will train you on basic and advanced organizing skills through shadowing and close work with staff organizers as well as a passionate and supportive team of other apprentices.

Ability to drive to various parts of Connecticut and flexibility in scheduling preferred but not required.
