In this workshop, participants will discover the power of mentor text for teaching writing craft/traits and how reading plays an important role in helping students develop as writers.

Teachers will examine components of quality writing, as well as how to read like a writer in order to extract bits and pieces from great texts that serve as models.

REGISTRANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS. FINAL DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP IS JANUARY 7, 2019.

Sub costs for this event will be allocated as per your contract regarding personal PD. If you have already used the two days allocated in your LINC agreement, any additional sub costs will be charged against your personal PD funds.

Lunch/refreshments will be provided and the expense will come from your personal PD funds.

Mileage will be reimbursed from your Personal PD funds. Please submit your mileage claims on the day of the event, or e-mail to Bailey.Williams@horizonsd.ca
