Please help Westwood Elementary School by filling one of these critical roles.

These volunteer positions will fill needs for next school year. Select the roles that you would consider and the Westwood PTA president will email or call you with more information. All positions come with guidance and training.

Executive Board Positions- meets 2nd Tuesdays @7pm on Google Meet
President approx 4 hours per week

Secretary approx 2 hours per month

Club/Program roles:

Math Olympiad Organizer & Instructor

• Coordinate the Math Olympiad (MOEMS) curriculum and national registration (www.moems.org). • Communicate with families about schedules, updates, and program details. • Enter contest scores into the MOEMS database. • Teach and support students during Math Olympiad sessions. • Approx. time commitment: 2 hours per week — 1 hour prep + 1 hour instruction (October–March).

Spelling Bee: 

 Follow the Coordinator Guide from the Scripps Spelling Bee program. Work with the PTA and school staff to offer the program to 4th and 5th grade students. Responsibilities include organizing preliminary rounds and coordinating the final Spelling Bee, all hosted on campus. 

We have support and training for every role. Stepping into one of these positions is how we keep our PTA running strong for our students, staff and families. Your willingness to join the team truly makes the difference.
