Introduction
The ethos governing this initiative is that the garden is an open, all inclusive, community garden which will be utilised as a resource for teaching, research, education, training, recreation and community engagement. As a garden member you are required to cooperate with the rules governing the use of the garden.

Member’s Commitments
I confirm that:
a) I have read, understood, and will abide by:
- the DCU Community Garden Pledge (see Appendix 1); &
- the health and safety guidelines set down for the DCU community Garden;&
- Sustainability @ DCU Initiative - Safety Statement (see Appendix 3)
b) I agree not to undertake any unauthorised work within the DCU Community Garden;
c) If I should open the gate to the community garden I will ensure that it is locked again at the end
of the day;
d) As a garden member any time spent in the garden by me will be recorded in the Garden Time
Record Book which is located in shed # 2. It is my responsibility to record my time accurately; &
e) Garden tasks are displayed on the Notice board in Shed # 2. If I have completed a task I will cross
it off the list.
I understand that any breaches of the above commitments may result in my exclusion from the
Garden.
