The Wikipedia Visiting Scholars program connects experienced Wikipedians with educational institutions. Editors are granted remote access to the institution's research resources in a credentialed, temporary research position and agree to use the resources to create or improve Wikipedia articles in a topic area of mutual interest.
This application is for those interested to become a Visiting Scholar. For more information on the program see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Visiting_Scholars (on-wiki shortcut WP:VS). If you're here because you represent an institution interested to sponsor a Visiting Scholar, please see the Visiting Scholar sponsorship form linked from that page.
A resume or CV is also required to apply. Email it separately to Will Kent, the Visiting Scholars Program Manager at the Wiki Education Foundation:
visitingscholars@wikiedu.org.
Your private information, including but not limited to your real name, will only be visible to a limited number of people at the sponsoring institution, the Wiki Education Foundation, and/or the Wikipedia Library.
