Our Mission: is to educate the minds of at-risk youth ages 8-18 years old and strive to eliminate hopelessness within underserved and under-resourced communities through mentorship and community engagement. 

Our Vision: is educated and hopeful youths, communities are free of violence, resources are plentiful, and the residents are collectively engaged in cultivating the community and city.

City Motivators has currently served over 6,000 youth/families and we are working to be even more impactful. As we move forward, we must develop a stronger supportive team. New Members Positions Description

Program Coordinator 

  • Plan and coordinate program and its activities.

  • Ensure implementation of policies and practices.

  • Maintain budget and tracking expenditures/transactions.

  • Manage communications through media relations, social media etc.

  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties.

  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.

  • Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations etc.)

  • Prepare paperwork/reports for org programs and events.

  • Keep updated records and create reports or proposals.

  • Support growth and program development.

  • Assist/attend the organization of events, fundraisers, etc.

  • Train volunteers.

  • Provide $600 a year for organization dues. ($50 monthly or $150 quarterly) 

Outreach/Event Coordinator

  • Plan/Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.

  • Plan and host

  • Help prepare an annual budget for community outreach activities.

  • Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.

  • Educate volunteers on org community outreach responsibilities.

  • Prepare accurate records and reports on the goals of fundraising plans.

  • Assist/attend the organization of events, fundraisers, etc.

  • Provide $600 yr Organization dues. ($50 monthly or $150 quarterly) 

Fundraiser Coordinator

  • Research potential sponsors.

  • Write funding proposals and send these to potential sponsors.

  • Creating marketing and promotional activities.

  • Develop fundraising events.

  • Maintain records of sponsors.

  • Organize campaigns that will lead to donations.

  • Train volunteer

  • Ensure the organization's mission is conveyed to the public.

  • Assist/attend organization of events

  • Provide $600 yr Organization dues. ($50 monthly or $150 quarterly)                                                             


  • Volunteer Service Coordinator Responsibilities  

  • Recruit, train, and supervise new volunteers.

  • Collect volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintain an up-to-date database.

  • Use marketing tools such as outreach programs, e-mails, and volunteer databases.

  • Keep new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities.

  • Match volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensure they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training.

  • Organize training and lead on-the-job training.

  • Keep schedules and records of volunteers' work.

  • Prepare codes of conduct and operating procedures to uphold the organization's values.

  • Ensure the organization's mission is conveyed to the public.

Bookkeeping/Accounting Support Coordinator

  • Support prepares of tax returns.
  • Invoicing

  • Clean up books of accounts.

  • Maintain program account budgets and reporting. 

  • Reconcile financial statements with bank statements.

  • Undertake budget or cash flow analysis.

  • Management reporting

  • Oversee QuickBooks accounting system.

  • Social Media Manager

    • Content Creation**: Develop engaging and relevant content, including posts, images, videos, and graphics that align with the organization's mission and goals.

    • Social Media Strategy**: Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that outlines objectives, target audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.

    • Community Engagement**: Foster a strong online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner, and engaging with followers to build relationships.

    • Campaign Management**: Plan and execute social media campaigns to raise awareness, promote events, and drive fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals.

    • Analytics and Reporting**: Monitor social media metrics using analytics tools to assess the performance of posts and campaigns. Regularly report on findings and adjust strategies as needed.

    • Brand Consistency**: Ensure that all social media content reflects the organization’s brand voice, values, and messaging across all platforms.

    • Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members, including the marketing department and program staff, to align social media efforts with broader organizational initiatives.

    • Contacting supporters via email and social media

    • Providing guidance to marketing 

    • Creating communication tactics for new projects, events, and initiatives

    • Maintaining knowledge of the organization's history and programs.

    • Assisting with the execution of the development department's strategy.
