Focus Group Training (FGT-17) on Batteries
We would like to announce that a Focus Group Training (Hybrid Event) on Horizon Europe Batteries call topics will be organised by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme. The event will be held on May 9-10, 2022 at Point Hotel Barbaros, İstanbul.

The event is a very intense two-day workshop targeting potential participants in Horizon Europe Framework Programme with little or no experience, as well as more experienced researchers that would like to learn about the new Horizon Europe Batteries Partnership 2022 calls of Cluster 5 on ‘Climate, Energy and Mobility’.

The event focuses on the currently open Battery calls (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D2-01) of the Work Programme for 'Climate, Energy and Mobility', aiming to nurture a world-class European research and innovation eco-system on batteries along the value chain based on sustainable pathways, including also improvements of technological performance to increase, amongst others, application user attractiveness in terms of safety, cost, user convenience, fast charging and environmental footprint etc. while also in parallel supporting the creation of a competitive, circular, and sustainable European battery manufacturing value chain. Alongside with the current call topics, a relevant call topic “HORIZON-CL4-2022-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-18: 2D materials based devices and systems for energy storage and/or harvesting (RIA)” will be covered.

In the event we shall present the ‘big picture’ of the calls, providing insight into the context, vision, objectives, and expected impacts for the Batteries Partnership. The thematic experts as well as speakers from Battery4EU shall offer a closer look at the implementation aspects and elaborate on currently open Batteries Partnership Calls for 2022. We shall also offer the opportunity for sharing first-hand experiences from the participation of a Turkish company who is involved in the previous H2020 Battery call topics and succeeded  as Coordinator and a researcher involved a 2021 Horizon Europe Battery call as a partner. The event will conclude with a round table discussion amongst the panellists offering the opportunity of an interactive session with questions received from the participants.

The sessions are structured in such a way to help participants grasp the fundamental concepts and offer an enhanced opportunity to shed light on practical aspects, helping them winning from the experience and extensive know-how of the experts. The content is enriched with presentations, training notes, curated literature from the EU, and useful templates.

During registration, you are expected to choose your attendance type. Please be informed that in order to attend physically, your application must be approved by authorities. Participants who are approved will be informed via e-mail by the Project Team. For those who would like to join online will be receiving the login details (Zoom software) three days prior to the event.
