SSH Board Application | Term 2014-16
Stop Street Harassment gained 501(c)(3) status two years ago. Since then, SSH launched the Blog Correspondents Program, Safe Public Spaces Mentoring Program, and produced a "Know Your Rights: Street Harassment and the Law" toolkit and the first-ever national report on street harassment in the USA. We also organize International Anti-Street Harassment Week each year.

We are recruiting new board members for a two year term from across the nation who can help us continue to grow.

Particularly, we hope to add board members who bring some or all of these skills: 1) Fundraising, applying for grants, etc; 2) Project and program creation and evaluation; 3) Networking with relevant companies and organizations; 4) Knowledge about harassment based on other identities, like sexual orientation, race, disability, and/or class; 5) Unique/important perspective on street harassment.

All board members must commit to 1) Participating in quarterly conference calls, email exchanges every 2-3 weeks, and International Anti-Street Harassment Week; 2) Donating or raising (or a combination) at least $200/year, and 3) Helping promote/advertise resources, news, and different opportunities to their networks.

Board members are also encouraged to do media interviews for SSH, represent SSH at events, and write for the blog.
