Thank you for your interest in being a CMU Navigators small group leader for the 2024-2025 school year! We know that small groups are a very important part of the church and believe they help us draw nearer to Christ together. We look forward to reading your application!
As you apply to be a small group leader, please be aware that the time commitments surrounding this role include being present as much as possible at all TNWs (both teaching nights and small group nights for personal growth and leading groups) and joining us for small group leader meetings every other week (where you would take part in studying the upcoming Bible passages and developing small group materials).
With this application, we are not grading you on your essay writing skills, but we are looking for meaningful responses. This means we aren't necessarily looking at length and grammar, but we are looking for well thought out, Biblical answers. Being a small group leader does take effort, and applying for the leadership role is a part of that effort. We want to know your heart in regards to small groups and these questions help us to discern that as we then select small group leaders.
By applying for this role, you are agreeing to abide by Biblical standards of leadership, continue seeking growth in your relationship with Christ, and uphold the values of the CMU Navigators:
1. We value true and abundant relationships with Christ.
2. We value the power of Scripture, prayer, and fellowship.
3. We value service that is for the One and for the one.
4. We value ministry that leads to changed lives.
5. We value reaching everyone from pre-believers to committed followers of Christ.
6. We value intentionality; therefore, we do not take any event or interaction for granted.
7. We value relationships between CMU students and Faith Family and other area churches.
8. We value equipping students to pursue Christ and His Church after college.
The application deadline is Monday, August 19 (the first day of classes).
We will respond to your application on Tuesday, August 20.
