Programme Design
FLIP serves as an incubator for avid youngsters to develop their global perspective, lifelong learning skills and social responsibility through exploring global issues. After an intensive series of workshops and seminars by professionals in addition to the site-visits to foreign consulates in Hong Kong and NGOs, our participants will take the role as representatives from different countries in a Model United Nations Conference and develop solutions to global issues by exploring and negotiating with their fellows. They will then transfer their knowledge back to the local community by presenting and sharing their research findings at the end of the programme.

Programme Schedule:
18/7 (Sat) - Opening Ceremony with an introductory seminar
19/7 (Sun) - Seminar on the socioeconomic impacts brought by the pandemic and epidemic diseases
20 - 24/7 (Mon - Fri) - External visits to NGOs or offices of foreign consulates/Local service commitment (Designated dates to be confirmed with our partner organisations)
25 - 27/7 (Sat-Mon) - A three-day-two-night residential programme at CUHK
1/8 (Sat) - Closing Ceremony cum Presentation
Theme: Pandemics and Epidemics
It is the basic human right for any individual to live without the threat of disease. Likewise, it is the responsibility of local and international societies to share the knowledge of public health in the battle against pandemics and epidemics. Professional medical knowledge and discovery are vital, but other sectors of the community also play crucial roles. They include the legal force, the education sector and etc. It is the close and efficient collaboration between these parties that the world can stand a chance against pandemics and epidemics. As the main working force in the future, the younger generation shares the duty of enriching themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to face the capricious healthcare challenges today and tomorrow.
