This session will focus on how OSU resident faculty can partner with OSU Extension colleagues to extend your STEM efforts. Currently, OSU Extension and resident faculty are partnering around the Discovery Themes of food production and security, health and wellness, and energy and environment. Extension provides an avenue to engage with communities throughout Ohio and with community leaders and citizens of all ages. With an office in all 88 Ohio Counties and over 600 faculty and staff in OSU Extension, together we can partner to take faculty discoveries out across the state in new and innovative ways.
Dr. Karen Bruns, Assistant Director, OSU Extension, and Leader, OSU CARES, gives leadership to the family and consumer sciences aspect of OSU Extension while also partnering Ohio State faculty to many opportunities where Extension and resident faculty and staff can partner around the full scope of Extension to more effectively engage all of our teaching, research and service with Ohioans.
This Virtual Brown Bag is part of a series of lunchtime webinars organized by STEM Initiatives to highlight opportunities for the university community to collaborate with partners on outreach and engagement, reforming undergraduate teaching and learning, recruiting and retaining students from underrepresented groups.
