About the programme
Games London is launching the third edition of our free, accelerator programme for games studio founders and we're looking for industry mentors and business leaders who are able to offer their time and guidance to help this year's new cohort.

This long-term scheme will run from September - December 2022 and is set to help promising UK studio founders make significant strides in developing their business acumen and preparing them to take their product to market. Through a series of masterclass and workshop sessions, the programme offers a range of industry insight and practical training, ultimately setting the studios up with a renewed focus and accelerated growth for their studio.

The mentoring is an extension to the programme’s core learning content with each studio founder paired with a mentor to work with throughout the scheme to provide supplementary one-to-one coaching and guidance to help develop their business. Mentors and mentees will be expected to meet once per month from September 2022 to December 2022; allocating at least one full hour for each session.

The 2022 Accelerator will continue to be predominantly an online scheme, but this year we will incorporate some pre-planned in-person moments across the programme. The mentoring sessions can be done online or in person, depending on the agreed preferences of each pairing.

We're able to offer a fixed fee as a contribution to our mentors.
Expression of interest - Mentors

Mentorship is a valuable asset to any business founder, especially in the earlier stages of their journey. We're looking for experienced industry professionals who would like to be paired up with one or two of the 40 selected studio founders in this year's programme.

We would love to hear from anyone interested in the Game Changer programme, though the content does mainly focus on the business management and production process of running a studio. Therefore, we would be broadly looking for mentors who can offer guidance and knowledge in areas such as:

- Business strategy

- Funding models and budgeting

- Investor and publisher deals

- Pitching advice

- Market analysis

- Marketing plans and preparing for product launch

If there are areas that aren't in the list above, but you want to get involved, then please do still get in touch. We'd be keen to hear from you and understand how we can work together.
