The Minnesota Department of Education is in the process of developing a Universal Screening Data System that allows providers (school districts, child care, health care, etc.) to share and access individual child level data to better coordinate referrals and service delivery.
Preschool screenings are an opportunity for you to understand your child's development and help you address any potential concerns. If you choose to enroll your child in Kindergarten, they will need preschool screening before they enter Kindergarten.
