The following open-ended questions are designed to capture, in an unbiased way, the thoughts and attitudes that TC practitioners have towards TC academics as members of the same field. You can answer as many questions as you like. Your answers are anonymous. Trends in responses will be collected for a follow-up survey that will be administered in a more quantitative way.

2. How well do academics understand the challenges and issues in the practitioner’s workplace? What factors affect their understanding?
3. Is academic research relevant to you? Why or why not?
4. Does academic research contribute to best practices or approaches in the field? Explain why you believe this situation to be the case.
5. Do you trust advice academics might provide on professional practices, on theories that should guide action, or some other factor? Why or why not?
