The Arizona Department of Transportation’s goal is to ensure that every effort will be made to prevent discrimination through the impact of its programs, policies, and activities. ADOT will take reasonable steps to provide accommodations based on language or disability. Requests should be made as early as possible to ensure the State has an opportunity to address the accommodation. By completing this voluntary survey, ADOT will be able to determine who attends its public meetings and how the department can improve participation.
The survey will also help ADOT fulfill federal reporting requirements.
Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended, 42 USC 2000d, and U.S. Department of Transportation regulations provide that “no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” Other Title VI Nondiscrimination related authorities:
