Museums of Burlington is creating a new exhibition opening in summer 2027 that celebrates the history of Brant Street and the people who brought it to life.
As part of this project, we are collecting short oral history interviews from community members who have memories of Brant Street. We're interested in hearing about your experiences—whether you visited favourite shops, worked downtown, attended community events, met friends, or simply remember what Brant Street was like during a particular time in your life.
Interviews will be approximately 5–10 minutes in length and will take place between August and October 2026. They will be audio recorded and, with your permission, may be used in the summer 2027 Brant Street exhibition, future museum programs, research, and promotional materials.
We're especially interested in hearing from people who remember Brant Street from the 1940s through the 1990s, but memories from any era are welcome.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the following form. We will contact you to arrange an interview.
Thank you for helping preserve Burlington's history and ensuring these stories can be shared with future generations.
