Hello! Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued cat or kitten. Please take the time to thoughtfully and thoroughly answer each question honestly. By doing so I can better understand your needs and what you are looking for in a cat.

Animals are wonderful and can add so much happiness much to our lives! Even so, they do come with a lot of responsibility. Sadly, shelters and rescue organizations are full of surrendered and discarded pets.The pet overpopulation problem is truly immense. Countless numbers of homeless pets suffer and die in shelters and on the streets each year. I encourage you to evaluate your situation and ask yourself if you are prepared to take on a new pet.

Many years ago I became aware of the misery and plight of so many innocent animals. I started to do my small part by helping the ones I could and serve in this capacity. I do this work autonomously and voluntarily without pay. I am not a formal rescue organization, nor am I funded. I am just a dedicated person with a love and adoration of animals, especially cats.

Vast amounts of time, effort, emotion, money, and other resources have gone into properly caring for these rescued cats. All of them have an unfortunate back story, but are now safe and greatly loved. I have cared for and know each one of them individually. Because of this, I can better facilitate you in finding the right cat. Kindly understand that I have a thorough screening process for potential adopters. My mission and promise to them is that they will never be abandoned, terrified, or suffer again. Therefore it is up to me to place them where they will be happiest.

I am always on the lookout for responsible, committed and loving pet owners who can provide nutritious quality food, veterinary care as needed, tons of love and a forever home. If that is you, whether this be your first cat, or you're a cat aficionado please continue on... I'd be thrilled to find you your purr-fect kitty!

Adoption fees range from $75-$200. This is a minimum donation that helps offset expenses incurred. If adopting more than one cat, fees may be discounted. If adopting barn cats fees may be waived. All cats have received the following care prior to adoption:

-Spay/neuter surgery

-Up-to-date vaccines

-De-wormed

-Microchip (barn cats not included).

-Any other necessary care; i.e. emergency care, wound care, treatment of infections/illnesses, dentals, FIV/FeLV testing, etc.

-Documentation of all medical procedures performed will be provided upon adoption.

(Side note 1: Kittens do best with a buddy! Preference may be given to adopters who apply for a pair of kittens, or have another young cat at home).

(Side note 2: Should you find yourself in a position unable to provide the love and care needed, you must first contact Adrian Pia at The Cat Project to surrender the cat).
