City Tech JFEW Scholarship Application 2014-16 Cohort


PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR 2014-16 SCHOLARSHIPS HAS PASSED.

The application will re-open in the Summer of 2015.

City Tech Foundation has a grant from the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women (JFEW) to support students in our Dental Hygiene and Radiologic Technology & Medical Imaging AAS and our Nursing BS programs who meet the requirements listed below. Please note that applicants’ religious belief is absolutely irrelevant.

Requirements for Scholarship (Dental Hygiene and Rad Tech Students):

• Be ACCEPTED to and entering the first semester of the clinical portion of the curriculum in Radiologic Technology & Medical Imaging or Dental Hygiene in the Fall
• Be enrolled as a full-time student
• Demonstrate financial need
• Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or have deferred action status with employment authorization

Requirements for Scholarship (Nursing Students):

• Be enrolled in the Nursing Bachelors degree program and taking NUR 3110 in the Fall 2014 semester
• Plan to graduate with your BSN within the next two years (Spring 2016)
• Demonstrate financial need
• Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or have deferred action status with employment authorization


As JFEW Scholars:
• Students will receive a grant of up to $2,500 per year for the two years of their program, dependent upon financial need
• They will be expected to graduate within two years
• They will complete a paid summer internship (up to $3,500) in the summer between their first and second year. Current JFEW Scholars describe the internship as an extraordinarily valuable experience.
• The program will include on-going faculty mentoring and special assistance in preparing for employment
