Effortless Academic Mastermind - Spring 2025
Hello Academics, 

A mastermind is a focused, committed group of academics, researchers, and knowledge workers ready to make their notes, tools, and ideas work together. 

I will guide the group with presentations on various topics relevant to the whole group and together we will develop digital solutions for our problems, discuss the newest tools and methods and hold each other accountable for implementing them. 

This Mastermind is designed to leave a lasting impact on how you organize yourself, conduct research and relate to AI. I intend to teach you everything I know in these ~6-8 weeks and build a personal relationship that a webinar just can't provide.

This mastermind is for you if:

   •    You’re swamped with literature but can’t seem to synthesize or organize it clearly

   •    You’ve tried Obsidian, Notion, Zotero, or AI tools—but your system still feels disorganized

   •    You want to think better, write faster, and finally connect your ideas across projects

   •    You’re juggling multiple research areas and need a system that actually scales

Filling out the form does not oblige you to participate. But since the cohort will be limited to 10-20 people, we need to ensure similar time availability, interests and goals. 

I will let everyone who fits the general criteria know by email and make the tickets available on a first come first serve basis.

Organization
The mastermind will be designed around webinar-like (but much shorter, more personal) lectures on note-taking, tools, AI etc, a group discussion and some "homework". 

We then are going to meet weekly (or even more frequently) for 1-2 hours on Zoom to discuss our road blocks, challenges and successes. (Recordings provided if you miss one). I will guide the meetings in a direction that allows us to cover all topics the participants are most interested in.

I hope to create a sense of community between the participants and an environment to learn from one another, adapting the contents to the group as we go and focusing on your specific problems. I hope everyone gets to share their screen at some point to show us their vault and workflows.

So it is a collaborative effort, especially in this first cohort. Feel free to share your expectations and ideas on how to best organize these meetings and use your time wisely.
