The Scientific Director Proposal
During the 2019 AGM in Argentina, membership discussed the Scientific Director Proposal as matter for discussion item #12.1 Scientific Director Proposal. (Refer to 2019 AGM Agenda,  Addendum 12.1, and the 2019 AGM Minutes). Membership expressed their support, by show of hands, for the Research Committee to develop the idea of a Scientific Director role within IBITA. Members were invited to send any further ideas they have to the Research Committee by December 31, 2019.
To date, the Research Committee has received limited feedback from only a few country representatives, therefore, we kindly ask each IBITA member to complete a survey on this subject. Please answer the questions below before JUNE 10, 2020.
A Scientific Director would be an independent contractor paid by IBITA for the delivery of specific tasks over a finite period of time.  Currently there are no available IBITA funds to support the role of a Scientific Director. Funding would need to be generated.
