Provision of Student Care Centre(SCC) in Primary School of Singapore
We are a group of economics undergraduate students from NTU. This survey is part of our project on Cost-Benefit Analysis module. Your response is much appreciated and will be kept confidential. All the questions relevant to your opinions on SCC will be based on the specific model of SCC listed below.
The properties of in-house SCC are:
a) It operates from 1pm-7pm (Mon-Fri) on school terms and 7am-7pm (Mon-Fri) on school holidays and closes on weekends and public holidays.
b) It offers basic care (meals, bath, rest), supervised study, character building activities, fitness session, enrichment activities, holiday workshops, art and craft sessions.
c) It is located within premise of the primary school your children study in and it accepts only students (7-12 years old) from the school itself.
d) There will be 4 tutors in the in-house SCC (tutor:student ratio = 1:15).
e) It operates in rooms (180 sq. ft) which can accommodate up to 60 students.
f) Two schemes are offered:
Scheme A: 5 days (Mon-Fri)
Scheme B: any 3 days (Mon-Fri)
g) The maximum enrollment of the care service is 60 students from the primary school. Enrollment is based on balloting if demand exceeds supply and the vacancy will grow when resources are upgraded.
