About usWe live in this world.
Fat women are just lazy binge-eaters. Skinny men get called twigs. Muscular women get called manly. Shapely men are called feminine. Women with no visible curves are not desirable. It never ends, does it? No matter how we exist, someone will find a way to make you feel wrong. The Body Banter Club would like to address this problem, body shaming and build a healthy relationship with our bodies. We are a community where you can talk openly, move freely, and feel truly seen.
We invite you to feel absolutely safe with your body around us. Share your nerve-wracking body-shaming stories, explore ways to move your body, find a friend who just gets you! We'd like you to think of us as your body's best friend. We aren't here to change you. Let's look for ways to not fit-in. We want to be with you just with your current body(and mind) as-is and welcome several fun ways you want to engage with it.
Let's take up S-P-A-C-E - Support Groups
It is our way to create a safe space for people to share stories that made their bodies feel uncomfortable. Tell us how you've managed to overcome a nasty episode or not, how are you coping with today's expectations of what our bodies should look like? Why? Because sharing experiences in a trusted environment is a lovely experience by itself.
