CYC is a student-run nonprofit that mobilizes and trains undergraduates to provide pro-bono consulting services to small businesses and non-profits in college communities across America.

You are applying for a CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT

A consultation appointment works to help a business with a very particular problem through a targeted solution. It is meant for a business that has single issue or problem area that they need advice on that does not require a full semester-long engagement.

Consultations Have Three Phases

1. Intake form: This intake form is designed to get information on the problem so that the assigned team/analyst can understand the business and it's circumstances.

2. Consultation: The actual consultation appointment is about an hour long and it is designed to present the deliverable on the issue and discuss with the client how to implement it

3. Follow Up: After the consultation there is a follow up email sent summarizing the appointment and sending any deliverables or final materials. Also this is an opportunity for the client to follow up if they are having any issues or concerns with the provided deliverable/advice. Only discussions about the exact issue discussed in the consultation appointment will be discussed in follow up, any additional issues cannot be taken on by our team. If additional issues arise, please sign up for another consultation or apply to work with as through the formal engagement structure when applications open.
