Science Center Main Room Request Form

The Science Center welcomes reservation requests from faculty members, TAs, tutors from the Tutoring Office, and students and staff involved in Science Center sponsored programs. If you do not fit into one of these categories, please indicate so in the Notes section below, providing your sponsoring department.

The main room holds 30-45 people, depending upon how you choose to adjust the furniture. If you plan to have food during your reservation, please note that all reservation holders are responsible for cleaning up the space prior to the end of the reservation. Requestors who do not adhere to this policy may be refused to make future reservations. Please be sure to plan accordingly and include setup and cleanup time in your start/end times.

During regular schedules, we will process all requests received by 4:30 PM that same business day. Requests received after 4:30 PM will be processed the next business day. We review each request individually and will make every attempt to accommodate your request.

Reservation holders who do not arrive within 30 minutes of the reservation start time will forfeit the reservation so that students may utilize the space for individual and collaborative study.

    The Science Center has various equipment available for you to utilize, free of charge. If you require a student staffer to assist you, please indicate so below. If you do not request a staffer, there is no guarantee that there will be media support available for your event.

    What to expect after completing this form:

    During regular schedules, we will process all requests received by 4:30 PM that same business day. Requests received after 4:30 PM will be processed the next business day. We review each request individually and will make every attempt to accommodate your request. You shall receive a Google calendar invite to confirm your request. If we require more information or cannot honor your request, we will contact you by email. All reservation holders are responsible for cleaning up the space prior to the end of the reservation. Requestors who do not adhere to this policy may be refused to make future reservations. Reservation holders who do not arrive within 15 minutes of the reservation start time will forfeit the reservation. if you have any questions, please feel free to email Jodie_Gill@brown.edu.
