    Audition Times

    After submitting this form, you will be asked to sign up for your audition time slot. Auditions will run during the following days: Thursday, September 5th (in the East Common Room) - 7 PM to 10 PM Monday, September 9th (in the Bickersteth Room) - 7 PM to 10 PM Thursday, September 12th (in the East Common Room) - 7 PM to 10 PM Sunday, September 15th (in the East Common Room) - 11 AM to 5 PM Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes early to your scheduled time slot to allow time to fill out any required forms and to keep our auditioning process on schedule. Latecomers may not be guaranteed an audition on that day.

    Audition Music

    Candidates must prepare one of the following two pieces to sing during the audition: Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Faure (PDF: http://goo.gl/ABKXUH): Basses: bars 13 - 51 Tenors: bars 15 - 51 Altos: bars 19 - 51 Sopranos: bars 21 - 51 OR Ubi Caritas by Maurice Durufle (PDF: http://goo.gl/zEmZSb): All voices: bars 1-39, at divisions within parts (i.e. Tenor 1 or Tenor 2). Pick the part that you prefer. For reference, we have included recordings of the above works, performed by the Hart House Chorus in past concerts. As well, candidates may prepare a piece of their own choosing, though this is not necessary. The audition will also require you to sing a sight-singing passage.
