[RSVP] Clips and Conversation: An Evening with Directors of "The Class"

Hosted by Birmingham Promise, in collaboration with Three Frame Media (the team behind the PBS docuseries “The Class”), this event will spotlight the importance of supporting young men on their journeys to and through college.

The evening will feature clips from “The Class,” and a conversation with director Jaye Fenderson, Birmingham Promise’s Samantha Williams, and several inspiring recent college graduates who will offer up their insight on the supports students need today.

5:00 p.m. – Welcome and light refreshments, featuring Mayor Randall Woodfin and Samantha Williams (executive director, Birmingham Promise)

5:20 p.m. – Film clips + conversation, featuring Jaye Fenderson (director, Three Frame Media); Lakendra Thomas, Career Pathways Manager, Birmingham Promise); Landon Hale, Birmingham Promise Graduate of Alabama State University; and Javonte Sellers (graduate of Morehouse College, featured in “The Class”). Moderated by Ruth Serven Smith (senior editor, AL.com)
