Callout for Stories from Survivors of Gender-Based Violence & Bystanders: Project Tell-Tale

Have you experienced gender-based violence (GBV)? Have you supported a survivor in their healing and recovery? Project Tell-Tale is calling for anonymous stories from survivors and bystanders—because every voice has the power to inspire, heal, and transform lives.

At Imaara Foundation, we recognize that GBV can happen anywhere—at home, in schools, colleges, workplaces, or public spaces. It can be perpetrated by anyone—family members, friends, colleagues, or strangers.

We view violence as a spectrum—it may start with behaviors like bullying, discrimination, or stalking and escalate to other forms of abuse, including:
🔹 Emotional, verbal, psychological and economic abuse
🔹 Physical and sexual violence
🔹 Human trafficking, child marriage, and other systemic harms

GBV affects everyone—women, men, LGBTQ+ individuals, children, teenagers, adults, people from marginalized backgrounds, senior citizens—anyone can experience violence.

  • Why Share?
Healing: Sharing your story can be a powerful outlet for processing emotions.
Support: We offer a community that listens, believes, and stands with you.
Impact: The more stories we share, the stronger our push for policy and legal reforms.

Your voice can help another survivor feel less alone. Your story can create change.
