Open Call for Workshops | PRX Podcast Garage (Boston)
We support independent voices in podcasting every day at the PRX Podcast Garage. Our doors are open to anyone who wants to learn. Every workshop we host and every instructor we hire represents our commitment to a strong, diverse community of audio storytellers.

*Note: Fill out this form if you are new to teaching at the Podcast Garage or if you are proposing a new workshop. If you have taught a workshop here before that you'd like to teach again, please reach out directly.*

ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS

All of our workshops are focused on a specific skill or competency related to audio storytelling or podcasting. We keep our class sizes small to encourage more group discussion and interaction with the instructor. Full and partial scholarships are available for every workshop - anyone with financial need can apply.

ABOUT OUR SPACE

Our classroom fits up to 20 chairs seated at tables. There’s a full PA system for audio playback and a 65” monitor for videos and presentations. We also have a state-of-the-art recording studio and over a dozen audio field kits.

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTORS

We hire instructors with a passion for audio and experience working in podcasting or radio. Each instructor brings a unique set of skills and shares a commitment to creating learning experiences that are interactive, engaging, and accessible for a variety of participants.

OPEN CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

We want to hear about you and a workshop that you want to teach at the Podcast Garage!

It should relate to one of our topic areas and have hands-on or interactive elements - this is not a lecture! The length can vary from 2 to 4 hours with a class size of 10 to 20 students. If you’re selected, we’re happy to work out the curriculum and details with you. We are accepting applicants on a rolling basis.

You do not need to have formal teaching experience to apply, just a passion for the medium and our mission to make it accessible to all. We pay instructors $250+ depending on the length and format of the class. Also, while many of our instructors are local (Greater Boston area), we have funding to pay for the travel of several instructors a year.
