The AVID Elective was designed to support students who have not historically been successful in achieving a university degree. There are many kinds of students who used to 'fall through the cracks' of traditional school systems. Some of these students are: low-income, immigrants, English Language Learners, 1st generation college-bound (neither of your parents went to college), students of color, etc. The AVID Elective is curated to provide the awareness, experiences and habits that support the upward mobility of such students.

Discuss the AVID program with your family.  Then complete the application on your own.  Applications will be reviewed and students will be notified about interview dates and times.
