Welcome to EHS cat fostering!

We're always in need of foster homes for cats who, for various reasons, would not thrive in a shelter environment. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all of our shelter cats are in foster and we can only bring a few new cats into foster at a time. This means if you are approved you might have to wait a week or two before being asked to foster.

We are fortunate to have received numerous applications to foster cats over the past months.

Going forward, our primary foster needs are long-term fosters who are interested in socializing skittish/fearful cats and have the time needed to do so (we will provide tips and support). As a foster parent, you would provide a safe home free of toxic plants, keep the cat indoors at all times, provide weekly updates to EHS and drive the cat to vet appointments as instructed.

** PLEASE NOTE OUR PARTNER VETS CURRENTLY USED ARE LOCATED IN MISSISSAUGA AND ETOBICOKE AREAS -You will also need access to a vehicle to drive to vet appointments, or be willing to pay for an Uber.
