Since the Rio Earth Summit in 1992, the UNFCCC has been the primary forum for the negotiation of international agreements concerning climate change. This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental issues, negotiation process, and political dynamics of the UNFCCC.

As part of this course, students may have the opportunity to attend the UNFCCC 19th Conference Of the Parties (COP19) in Warsaw, Poland Nov. 11 - 22, as delegates of various stakeholder organizations and countries.
