Thank you for your interest in serving ALLA this year! Below is a brief description of each committee. If you have questions about any of the committees, please contact Amy Barber, amy.barber@kutakrock.com.
Committee work typically begins in August, although some committees may decide to begin earlier.
Please submit your choices by August 31.Committee Descriptions: Chapter Knowledge: The Chapter Knowledge Committee is responsible for preserving the history of ALLA, including significant decisions and events. Tasks include scanning and organizing documents and compiling and updating lists.
Time commitment: Committee work takes place throughout the year, and time spent each month varies based on needs.
Community Service: The Community Service Committee coordinates and plans ALLA’s participation in community and/or fundraising events.
Time commitment: The committee typically plans at least one event during the year, although the committee may select more opportunities.
Nominations: The Nominations Committee selects a slate of candidates among ALLA members for the officer positions that will become vacant for the next year.
Time commitment: Committee work takes place between January and May of each year.
Special Events: The Special Events Committee plans social activities for members. The committee may assist with the holiday party in December, the Annual Meeting & Luncheon in May, or other social activities selected by committee members.
Time commitment: Committee work takes place throughout the year, and time spent each month varies based on scheduled events.
Website: The Website Committee updates and maintains the ALLA website.
Time commitment: The committee may have more work in August/September to refresh content on the website and thereafter will be responsible for updating the site as needed.
