Volunteer Opportunities (refer to this list to answer the next question)
MobilityDog advances FUNctional independence for people with disabilities through service dogs, education, tools, and empowerment. Many of these activities can be accomplished from the comfort of your home: leading marketing campaigns or online education forums; performing administrative tasks, and much more!
  1. Puppy Raisers/Trainers - SDiT (Co-Raisers share with a friend!) -  MobilityDog Puppy Raisers provide a safe home for our dogs during their early months (9 weeks-18 months) and provide them with lots of love, socialization, and playtime.  Raisers teach their puppies obedience skills through the Canine Good Citizen series.

  2. Administrative/Office Support - Helping out in the MobilityDog Office:  75 S. Grand Ave., Pasadena, CA.  From writing birthday and thank you cards, to data entry, and much more.

  3. Community Outreach - Reach out to the community and share what we do.

  4. Fundraising and Donor Outreach - Our Service Dog Teams need our support now more than ever as we figure out new ways to raise funds and support the training of our Service Dogs.

  5. Event Volunteers - Go to events and set up table and share about MobilityDog!

  6. Facilitators for PAWS That Empower is a 6-week program of 55-70 min workshops in classrooms with children ages First Grade through Community College and libraries.  We train facilitators for these programs. (See description on our website.)

  7. Facilitators for READING CIRCLES program.  This is a drop-in 1-hr. session at pre-schools, kindergartens, Senior Centers, Parks and Rec, Retirement Villages, and libraries. The facilitator reads stories about service dogs and answer questions.  We train facilitators.  (See description on our website.)
