The Hall High Alumni Association (The Tribe) is soliciting grant requests from Hall’s faculty, staff and students. We plan to allocate funds for use by the faculty and/or staff to augment instructional materials, to assist with the purchase of capital equipment (to remain at Hall), and to help student organizations. Priority will be given to those requests that benefit the maximum number of students and/or academic activities and that have an ongoing, long-lasting impact.
All grants will be reviewed by the Grants Committee before being submitted to the Tribe for approval. Grants are also subject to LRSD guidelines (e.g., no funding for computer printers, no funding for student trips, etc.). The Tribe will transfer money for approved grants to the Hall High bookkeeper for distribution.
Only Tribe members, staff, counselors, coaches, or students of Hall High School may request funding from the Hall High Alumni Association. It is strongly recommended that the person completing this form present their funding requests at the next Hall High Alumni Association meeting.
For amounts $1,000 and up, we require a presentation to the board at the next general board meeting. The person making the request needs to be available to answer questions. If not, the request may be tabled until further information is obtained at the next regularly scheduled meeting. It is best if requests are channeled through an officer of the board at minimum one week in advance, reviewed, then placed on the agenda prior to the meeting. Requests can be made more than once during the school year and will be awarded funding based on discretion of the Board and as funds are available.
A vote on these grant requests will be taken at the next Tribe meeting. Applicants will be notified of the results via email.
