The core values of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) are Character, Courage and Commitment (the 3 C’s). The C3 Athlete Award was established by SSCV several years ago to recognize outstanding displays of these character traits by our athletes both on snow and off. A total of seven C3 Athlete Awards will be given out this season (one winner for each month from October through April). The Walter Kirsch Character, Courage and Commitment Overall Season Winner will be selected in April from among the C3 athlete monthly award winners.

ANYONE can nominate ANY SSCV ATHLETE for the C3 Athlete Award. The due date for each monthly C3 athlete nomination is listed below. The C3 Athlete Nomination Form (see Google Form below) must be submitted by the date listed below to be considered for that month by completing all of the questions below and clicking "Submit" at the end of the form.

-February 15-February C3 nominations due
-March 15-March C3 nominations due
-April 15-April C3 nominations due

If an athlete nominee does not win a C3 Athlete Award in a given month, their name will be automatically carried forward as a nominee to the month immediately following the month they were initially nominated for only. We will announce the C3 Athlete Award winner each month with details about why they earned this honor taken from their nomination form, and NEW THIS SEASON we will also announce the C3 athlete nominees each month (list of names only).
