Join us in advocating to Save Our Services from budget cuts!

Sweeping Federal budget cuts
have hit the City of Portland and Multnomah County hard. Funding for
our vital public services are expected to be cut drastically, which will lead to layoffs, increased workload, and disruption to key services that our community needs and expects.
We know that cuts are coming. Right now, we have an opportunity to help our elected leaders make better informed budget decisions with the input of experienced frontline workers that deliver these services. But, we must act quickly.
Budgets will be proposed and finalized within the next month or two, so we urgently need to speak with elected officials at the City and County and let them know:
- Our programs are valuable and essential to the community, and we need to preserve funding for direct service over administrative costs.
- Prioritizing experienced frontline union staff means safer, more effective, and more sustainable services
- Budget transparency from contractors is critical and will decrease the misuse of public funds.
