CLARKSTON HIGH SCHOOL: TEST OUT PROCEDURES
By attempting to test out of a course, you feel that you are proficient in that subject matter and therefore you do not need to take the course. Study Materials may or may not be available for each course. Please contact the department chair (listed below) if you have questions regarding study materials.
You must submit a separate test out form for EACH class you are attempting to test out of.
There are NO make-up test out dates.
You must earn a grade of 78% or higher on each semester test. Credit (“S” grade) will be recorded on your transcript. No letter grade will be given, and GPA will not be affected.
If you are testing out for credit recovery, please know that your original grade remains on the transcript, but is pulled out of your GPA calculation upon successful completion of the test out.
CHS test out proctor will contact you with your test out results via the e-mail address you provided on your test out application within 1 week of the test out date.
If you successfully pass your test out, and a schedule adjustment needs to be made, you must contact your counselor. Do not assume you will be automatically called down.
Test out applications must be turned in by due date listed on the application – no exceptions.
