Winter Hockey is a fast paced game with mixed boys and girls teams and the skills are easily picked up by new players. Being played on Sundays means children who play traditional Saturday sport may enjoy the opportunity to give hockey a try. No experience is necessary.
Primary School Competition games will be all be played at the HMI Twin turfs and Massey University Hockey Turf if needed in 2023.

When: All Primary School Competition games are played on SUNDAYS - (A time between 8am - 1pm.)
- Where: Games begin on Sunday 7th May and runs for 12 Weeks finishing on Sunday 13th August.
- Cost: The cost will be around $40 per player - we are moving to Kindo for sports fees so we will be in touch soon for how to pay for your child's hockey fees.
- Gear: The school has hockey sticks which can be loaned to new players if required. Shin pads and mouth guards are compulsory and are not supplied by the school. Navy Blue hockey socks are required as part of the hockey uniform. Please note: we now require you to purchase these yourselves. We have a limited number of larger sizes to borrow if needed.
- Coaches and Managers: We have asked for help from parents to Coach or become Team Managers. Training materials needed for practices are available at school and support for reminding pupils about practice times can be arranged through the daily notices. Experience is not necessary. Coaching and managing is lots of fun and can be very rewarding so please consider taking on one of those roles.
