During that time, the community worked with DeKalb County to
change the zoning so that there could be housing development in the center as
long as the 130 acres of fairways are conserved as green space.
Now, the Board of Directors is exploring how to utilize the
green space, with the first priority to revitalize the walking trails (roughly
5 miles of former golf cart paths) and then to create other low-impact uses.
This survey is part of a community engagement effort to:
• Listen to residents’ perspectives
• Understand concerns related to development and
green space
• Help guide how remaining green space is planned and managed.
No new decisions are being made through this survey. Responses will be
reviewed in aggregate and used to inform future discussion and
planning.
The survey takes
3–5 minutes to complete. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
