How many trees are you interested in planting in your community

Please share your plan of how you will be a steward and how will you have the community involved in taking care of the trees.
Fruit trees are a long term investment, with a large focus being on future generations. For most nut trees expect a few decades before meaningful production. For most fruit trees with large fruit (such as apples and persimmons) expect 12 years before meaningful production. Mulberry, hazelnut and elderberry will produce fruit after a few years and will take a handful of years to produce substantially. Do you commit to being a steward for the long-term or organize for someone to care for these trees should you no longer be able to?

What is your proposed location(s) of the fruit trees? The ideal Community Fruit Tree locations include residential front yards and businesses with access from a public sidewalk, edges of farmland with public access, medians between streets and sidewalks, schools, public parks, churchyards and along bike trails. (please keep your answer short and simple). (All trees must get 6+ hours of sun)
Please share your proposal of variety and quantity of fruit and nut trees that you'd like to plant. 
Ex (5 apple, 6 serviceberry , 10 hazelnut, etc.)
Note: We will not necessarily be able to provide the variety or quantity of each tree requested, but we'd like to focus our growing on the trees that are most desired by the Stewards.
Do you have full permission to plant in these locations and confident that these locations will remain publicly accessible for the decades ahead/the trees will not be cut down?

Do you have access to mulch and compost to ensure the success of the trees and will you make sure to mulch and compost the trees?

Will you protect the trees while they are developing to ensure animals such as deer do not eat the young trees? This can be done with chicken wire and plastic tubes. Details are in the care guide.

Do you commit to placing signs at each of the trees? This will be your responsibility but can be done very inexpensively with repurposed materials. We provide templates.

Do you commit to adding the trees to the online Falling Fruit map so that people can find the trees or to sending us the exact locations so we can add them to the map?
