There is a shortage of representation of Muslims in the public policy sphere. Many policies that are developed impact minorities, but do not adequately represent minority or diverse voices.  This lack of representation often leads to having an adverse effect on said groups. Muslim involvement and engagement will provide a broader balanced perspective on issues facing Muslims in the U.S. We look to provide a policy workshop that can train students on how to move from a policy idea to the construction of policy. AMI  seeks to provide a cash prize of $1,000 to the participant who presents the best policy paper for the best paper.
