"Inequalities & Inclusion" Symposium BIMI - IRLE Graduate Lightning Talks
The Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative (BIMI) and the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE) are excited to announce the BIMI - IRLE Graduate Lightning Talks Symposium: “Inequalities and Inclusion." This event will provide a platform for graduate students to present their research and practice their conference presentations before the start of the conference season, receive valuable feedback from experts in their field and connect with fellow graduate students from different disciplines working on similar themes.

The talks will be held on May 11, 2018 from 9:00am - 5:00 pm at IRLE conference room.

Selected students will be grouped in panels and get 10 minutes of time to present the paper and 20 minutes of feedback from experts. Coffee and lunch will be provided. A detailed agenda will be circulated a week before the symposium.

The symposium is open to students working on projects that address inequality and inclusion through research on immigration and labor. The deadline to submit the application is Monday, April 23. Accepted students will be informed by Monday, April 30.
