Student & Trainee Activities Survey

We are exploring a few optional activities for students and trainees attending the conference. These activities are intended to provide opportunities to network with fellow trainees, explore New Orleans, and enjoy some time outside of the conference program.

We are particularly interested in learning which activities you would be interested in and what schedule would work best for you.

New Orleans Social & Recreational Activities
We are also considering several informal activities that would allow trainees to experience New Orleans together. All of the activities below are approximately a 10–20 minute walk from the conference hotel.

🚢 Steamboat Natchez Sightseeing Cruise

A ~75-minute sightseeing cruise along the Mississippi River aboard the Steamboat Natchez. The cruise offers views of the New Orleans waterfront and skyline and provides an opportunity to experience one of the city's iconic riverboats.

Estimated cost: ~$25 per adult

🐠 Audubon Aquarium / Insectarium

A group visit to the Audubon Aquarium and/or Insectarium, located within walking distance of the hotel. This could be a fun opportunity to explore New Orleans' natural history and aquatic ecosystems while spending time with fellow students and trainees.

🏃 Jogging/Walking Along the Mississippi Riverfront

A casual group jog or walk along the Mississippi Riverfront, providing an opportunity to get some exercise, enjoy views of the river, and socialize with other trainees.
