Select the volunteer role(s) that interest you:
Animal Care – Scooping/washing litter pans, cleaning crates/kennels, dog walking, cat socialization, washing dog and cat food bowls. We have an established protocol that must be followed.
Shelter Upkeep - Assist the shelter staff with keeping the shelter clean. This would include sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Grounds Upkeep - Assist with lawn mowing, snow clearing, yard, fence, and building maintenance.
Laundry – What fun but such a necessary task at a shelter; the animals will appreciate the clean blankets and towels!
Fostering – Short-term and long-term – this will always be an integral part of our organization in addition to our shelter.
Transport – Transporting animals to vet appointments or transfers to other rescues.
Adoption Events – Help handle animals including transport to/from the Adoption Center, speak with potential adopters.
Special Events – Interacting with the public, preparing event spaces and other behind-the-scenes roles.
Outreach - Give tours and host activities with community groups
Soliciting Donations – Items are always needed for events. They don’t necessarily have to be pet-related items.
Grant Writing – Grants are needed to help fund daily operations at the shelter.
If you indicated you want to do animal care, please give your preference on working with dogs or cats or both.
List any special skills you think would be an asset to us (experienced animal trainer, event planning, database work, fundraising)
