What should the relationship be between the value of a vote and the income of the voter?
Answer the questions below by trying to place yourself "behind the veil of ignorance"
How sensitive to inequality should a voting system be? What should be the value of x?
x is the parameter that determines how sensitive the voting system is to inequality. If x = 0, every voter has exactly one vote ("one person, one vote"); if x > 0, the votes of the poor are more valuable than those of the rich; and if x < 0, the votes of the rich are more valuable than those of the poor.
less than -1: the value of a poor person's vote should be heavily discounted relative to the value of a rich person's vote
-1: the rich should have voting power that is strictly proportional to their income class
between -1 and 0: the rich should have voting power that is somewhat less than proportional to their income class
exactly 0: rich and poor alike should have votes of equal value ("one person, one vote")
between 0 and 1: the value of the votes of the rich should be somewhat less than inversely proportional to their income class
1: the rich should have voting power that is strictly inversely proportional to their income class
more than 1: the value of a rich person's vote should be heavily discounted relative to the value of a poor person's vote

How many income classes should a voting system have? What should be the value of n?
n is the number of income classes in the system. If n = 1, there is just one class of voters, all of which have exactly one vote; if n = 2, there are two classes of voters, those above the median income, and those below the median income. The larger n, the smoother the differences in voting power among adjacent classes.

On a standard right-left spectrum, how would you describe your political views?
Obviously, you cannot answer this question from behind the veil of ignorance! But if your views don't fit within a classic left-right spectrum, just ignore it.
