Get Involved with Outside the Box
Outside the Box is a new hands-on educational program in Duluth, Minnesota aimed at teaching middle school youth skills related to design and construction. Although open to all students, prioritization is given to those underrepresented in these fields, including low-income, female, non-binary, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC communities. Participants learn design thinking and maker skills, empowering them to use creative problem solving in life and in imagining their futures. Most activities take place outside of school, at times including family, taught by diverse community role models; reaching youth at a critical time of development.
If you’re interested in becoming an instructor, donating (money, time, or resources), or if you have any other Outside the Box ideas for ways to be involved in our growing program, we’d love to hear from you. Fill out the form below, and we’ll be in touch shortly!
