Program Rules
A. To receive a lighting kit under Independent Filmmaker Loan Program the filmmaker or production company has to complete application form and provide appropriate documentation. All applications will be reviewed by DPLumi staff. Approval of an application is at the sole discretion of DPLumi staff
B. There is a limited number of kits in rotation at all times. Applications will be approved on a first come first serve basis. Selection is not guaranteed and may depend on project merit and kit availability.
C. The film maker commits to providing DPLumi with a short written testimony about the lights, a minimum of 5 behind the scene photos prominently showcasing DPLumi lights on set and how they were used, and a minimum of 2 frame grabs form the finished film showing scenes lit with DPLumi once and where permissible by the films publicity rules. DPLumi has the right to use these materials freely and without limits in all its marketing activities. Filmmakers failing to provide these materials upon return may be charged a rental fee for the light kit.
D. The film maker or production company must supply a Certificate of Insurance listing DPLumi as additional insured for the value of the light kit at pickup of the light kit. At pickup the film maker or production company will sign a contract reflecting these program rules. All lighting kits must be returned in the came conditions as received. The filmmaker or production company will be responsible for any missing or damaged parts.
E. Lights may be picked up at DPLumi office in Scarsdale, NY or they may be shipped to the film set at the filmmaker’s expense.
F. The filmmaker may use kits for two calendar weeks before retuning them under the loan program. In select cases the loan period may be extended at DPLumi’s discretion.
