Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars / l'Association canadienne des Postdoctorantes et Postdoctorants
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM IF YOU REPRESENT A POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATION (PDA) AT A CANADIAN UNIVERSITY OR RESEARCH INSTITUTION THAT IS SEEKING OFFICIAL RECOGNITION AS AN AFFILIATE OF CAPS/ACPP AND/OR ACCESS TO CAPS/ACPP EMAIL LISTS.

**NOTE:
If possible, please provide an email address below that is specific to the PDA seeking affiliation, rather than the address for a personal email account. If the PDA has an account provided by its home institution that would be ideal, but accounts that are independent of the home institution are also acceptable.

CAPS/ACPP-Affiliated Postdoctoral Associations (PDAs)
Affiliation is an informal arrangement between CAPS/ACPP and an external organization*. This arrangement is in no way legally binding. The CAPS/ACPP Executive Council reserves the right to refuse affiliation requests on any grounds and may revoke affiliations that are not mutually beneficial or were made in bad faith.
Affiliated PDAs are:
1) expected to share information provided by CAPS/ACPP, promote CAPS/ACPP events and initiatives, and/or assist with the dissemination of CAPS/ACPP surveys to their members or contacts;
2) welcome to advertise their affiliation with CAPS/ACPP on their website, in electronic communications, and on social media and are encouraged to share direct links to the CAPS/ACPP website.
CAPS/ACPP assists Affiliated PDAs by:
1) sharing information provided by the PDA with our members upon request**;
2) providing recognition to affiliated PDAs on the CAPS/ACPP website
Important Notes:
*More formal agreements with CAPS/ACPP (e.g., memorandums of understanding, marketing agreements, and other official partnerships) must be negotiated with the CAPS/ACPP Executive Council directly and can only be initiated by contacting the Chair (chair@caps-acpp.ca) and/or the VC External (external@caps-acpp.ca).
**CAPS/ACPP reserves the right to refuse to share any information that the Executive Council deems to be irrelevant to postdocs, not of interest to a large enough proportion of CAPS/ACPP members, counter to the mandate of CAPS/ACPP, or overt advertising of commercial products and services for the purposes of profit.
