Three standard roles are possible, and we appreciate you filling in the form below.

(1) Guest Industry Speaker: Typically requires just 1-2 hours of time.  Faculty invite you to speak to their class about your career, lessons learned, advice to students seeking future employment, as well as advanced technologies and new types of service offerings.

(2) Industry Mentor (Open Innovation): Typically requires 1 hour a week for 12 weeks, as well as two hours to set up, and two hours to review the final projects, so a total of about 16 hours over a three month period.  The mentor should have a open innovation project in mind, and provide the students with clear challenge, deliverables (that do not change over the 12 week period), and final evaluation and feedback on the work.  These projects can also lead to ISSIP blog posts and other content about the project on the ISSIP website.

(3) Industry Client (Proprietary Innovation):  Like the above,  but typically also requires a little more time (2-4 hours) and $5K funding.  While ISSIP does not get involved in these proprietary projects, we can provide introductions to partner universities.  These projects typically require lawyers on both side to review and approve.
