Storytellers will be using authentic, "colorful" language, and the nature of some of the subject matter is appropriate only for adult audiences. The Central Library has a wealth of great resources for children and young teens. Please consider whether this performance or other aspects of what is available on the 12th is most suitable for those in your group. *
Required
Parking beneath the library is at 524 S. Flower Street. On Sunday, up until 1:00 PM, parking costs $8 (flat rate). After 1:00 PM, parking costs $1 with Los Angeles Public Library card validation, available at the 1st floor information desk. Application for and receipt of a LAPL card takes only minutes and is available on the 1st floor as well. *
Required
The storytelling begins at 1:30, we shift to the discussion/Q&A segment around 2:45, and conclude with the reception with refreshments for more personal conversation from around 3:30 until 4:30. Please honor the intimate, unscripted, heartfelt nature of the storytelling by not arriving late and disrupting it. These are not professional actors and the house lights will be up so that they can meet your eyes and share their experiences directly and personally with you. Please arrive early, settle into your seats, and give these storytellers the sincere attention they deserve. *
